The club is having a charity event on Saturday August 29th. All prizes on the day go to the charity of choice of the prizewinners. Over €1000 euro will be available for distribution that day. The prizes are being sponsored by the generosity of individuals in the club.
The top three cards in each Wednesday Open (from the start of May to the end of August) qualify automatically to play free on the final day. If a winner in a Wednesday Open has already qualified, the fourth placed player qualifies and so on.)
Details of Wednesday qualifiers are on the results page.
Golf has been played on the Portsalon links, Donegal, since the 1880's. The club was one of the founder members of the Golfing Union of Ireland, the oldest golfing union in the world.
Originally designed by Thompson of Portrush, the layout has evolved over the decades with significant changes being undertaken under the guidance of Pat Ruddy in 2000.
Currently ranked in the top 25 courses in Ireland by Golf Digest, Portsalon continues to progress, with the 2014 Ryder Cup captain, Paul McGinley, guiding further improvements.
Nestled under the Knockalla mountains and stretching along the magnificent Ballymastocker beach, a true test of links golf presents itself. Above all, a warm welcome awaits you.
